Sarákkhás Tears

Sarákkhá´s tears.

Sarákkhás tears is a dance performance for children and young people. It is about the coastal Sami girl Kristina who is about to grow up and become a woman. She lives alone with her father who spends most of the time at sea. While the days grows darker she fears for her fathers life at sea. She also have to face challenges thrown at her from both men and mythical monsters. Always finding support in the young girls goddess who also is the goddess of the fire; Sarákkhá.

Sarákkhás Tears will have its premiere on the Coastal First nations Dance festival in Vancouver, Canada, 3´rd of March 2018.
